Project Manager - Civil/Public Works
Overview
Lead public works and civil infrastructure projects from preconstruction through final closeout. Manage budgets schedules and contracts while coordinating subcontractors and field operations. Partners with Superintendents to monitor progress and ensure successful delivery.

- 2Develop and maintain project budgets schedules forecasts cost controls and procurement plans
- 3Lead subcontractor procurement scope reviews negotiations buyouts and contract administration
- 4Coordinate with owners engineers public agencies inspectors subcontractors suppliers and field personnel
- 5Manage RFIs submittals change orders purchase orders meeting minutes and project correspondence
- 6Review plans specifications and contract documents to identify scope gaps risks and constructability concerns
- 7Monitor project financial performance including job costs commitments billing forecasting and profitability
- 8Partner closely with Superintendents to monitor field progress labor productivity schedule performance and quality
- 9Coordinate procurement of long-lead equipment materials and specialty systems
- 10Lead owner engineer subcontractor and internal project meetings
- 11Manage permitting inspections testing agency documentation and regulatory requirements
- 12Support preconstruction activities including estimating value engineering constructability reviews and project planning
- 13Evaluate change conditions and prepare or negotiate change order proposals
- 14Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contract obligations are being met
- 15Identify potential project risks and implement solutions to protect schedule and budget
- 16Oversee punch list completion turnover documentation warranties and final closeout
- 17Maintain strong working relationships with clients agencies engineers and project partners
Requirements10
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons managing public works or heavy civil construction projects
- 3Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or related field
- 45–10+ years experience with public works heavy civil municipal infrastructure or general engineering construction
- 5Strong understanding of budgeting forecasting scheduling procurement and contract administration
- 6Experience working with public agencies inspectors engineers and municipal owners
- 7Ability to read and interpret civil structural mechanical and utility drawings and specifications
- 8Familiarity with prevailing wage certified payroll public bidding and agency contracting requirements
- 9Proficiency with Procore Bluebeam Microsoft Project Primavera P6 HCSS or similar construction software
- 10Experience with design-build design-bid-build or alternative public works delivery methods
