Project Manager, Flooring Installation
Overview
You will own flooring installation projects in the Greater Baltimore market for T.F. Andrew, a 44-year-old family firm and the 8th largest flooring service provider in the USA. You will manage estimates, materials, and crews across 28 states, working from our Hanover, MD facility. This role combines construction expertise with client coordination, and you will report directly to leadership in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Oversee installation projects in Greater Baltimore, coordinating with owners, managers, contractors, and crews.
- 2Assemble pre-construction packages, including submittals and material lead-times, for new construction clients.
- 3Prepare written estimates for change orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness from initial bid to final sign-off.
- 4Monitor order and delivery status, negotiating product purchases to keep projects on schedule.
- 5Drive project kickoffs, aligning all stakeholders on scope, timeline, and expectations.
- 6Review and validate estimates to catch errors before they reach the client.
- 7Coordinate with warehouse and logistics to ensure materials arrive on site as needed.
- 8Use ProCore to track project progress and documentation, including RFIs and submittals.
Requirements10
- 13+ years of project management experience in commercial flooring or general construction.
- 22+ years reading and interpreting construction blueprints and specifications.
- 32+ years managing submittals and RFIs in a construction environment.
- 42+ years of contractor management, coordinating on-site crews and subcontractors.
- 51+ year using ProCore for project management and documentation.
- 63+ years proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- 7Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- 8Experience with estimating software for take-offs (preferred but not required).
- 9Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a pre-employment background check.
- 10Willingness to travel 75% of the time, with the ability to commute to Hanover, MD 21076.
