What You'll Do11
- 1Estimate using architectural drawings and specifications
- 2Perform flooring quantity takeoffs and material labor estimates
- 3Obtain and compare vendor pricing for commercial flooring projects
- 4Prepare proposals and bids while tracking deadlines
- 5Coordinate project logistics from award through completion
- 6Maintain accurate estimating records and project files
- 7Assist with change-order pricing and project documentation
- 8Track schedules and resolve field issues on site
- 9Learn commercial flooring products and installation methods
- 10Develop relationships with contractors and vendors
- 11Take ownership of estimates and manage multiple deadlines
Requirements10
- 1Recent college graduate or 1–3 years of estimating experience
- 2Degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Business or related field
- 3Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- 4Excellent attention to detail and organization
- 5Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office
- 6Ability to read construction drawings
- 7Experience with Bluebeam Planswift or On-Screen Takeoff software is a plus
- 8Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- 9Willingness to visit job sites and learn on the fly
- 10Commitment to learning and taking initiative
