Project Manager, Digital Payments & Modernization
Overview
Own small to medium-sized projects within a large-scale digital payments modernization initiative at a major financial services firm. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and manage project plans, risks, and delivery of customer-facing payment solutions. What You'll Do8
- 1Drive project planning, scheduling, and execution for payment modernization projects, ensuring milestones align with the overall program roadmap.
- 2Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and business units to deliver customer-facing payment solutions on time and within scope.
- 3Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies to keep payment projects on track.
- 4Lead stakeholder communication and status reporting, translating complex payment technical details into clear updates for leadership.
- 5Facilitate agile ceremonies and project meetings to maintain momentum and transparency across payment integration workstreams.
- 6Track budget and resource allocation, ensuring projects stay within financial constraints while meeting payment compliance standards.
- 7Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure payment solutions meet functional and regulatory requirements before launch.
- 8Drive post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and apply improvements to future payment projects.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of project management experience, with a focus on digital payments or financial services.
- 2Proven track record leading projects that involve payment processing, payment gateways, or customer payment interactions.
- 3PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification preferred, with demonstrated ability to apply waterfall and agile methodologies.
- 4Experience managing projects with cross-functional teams of 10+ members and budgets up to $1M.
- 5Strong knowledge of payment systems, including card networks (Visa, Mastercard) and digital wallets.
- 62+ years using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
- 7Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience reporting to executive sponsors and C-level leaders.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA is a plus.
