Overview
Cresa seeks an experienced Project Manager – Capital Projects to lead commercial real estate capital projects in San Jose. This onsite client contact role involves steering projects from inception to completion, building stakeholder relationships, and mentoring team members. The position emphasizes collaboration, strategic guidance, and driving client satisfaction.
What You'll Do11
- 1Develop project scopes budgets schedules fee estimates and proposals while managing financial performance
- 2Coordinate architects engineers consultants contractors and vendors throughout design procurement and construction phases
- 3Administer contracts review invoices and change orders ensuring compliance with lease agreements and client standards
- 4Facilitate project meetings document decisions and provide executive reporting on status budget schedule and risks
- 5Conduct site visits and field audits before during and after construction to verify quality safety and adherence to design intent
- 6Monitor project performance using metrics and analytics to identify trends improve outcomes and capture lessons learned
- 7Partner with Business Unit Director to execute account strategy support operational excellence and identify growth opportunities
- 8Build relationships with stakeholders resolve conflicts and lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- 9Support business development by preparing proposals presenting at client engagements and growing existing relationships
- 10Champion continuous improvement by documenting best practices standardizing processes and promoting knowledge sharing
- 11Collaborate with regional leadership to plan resources support governance and deliver the client capital project portfolio
Requirements9
- 15+ years managing commercial real estate capital projects including design construction and delivery within corporate settings
- 2Construction project management experience with labs and power cooling requirements
- 3Technical expertise in MEP or infrastructure with proven ability to lead complex projects
- 4Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and developing project management professionals
- 5Proficiency with Microsoft Office Project and project management technologies with PMP certification preferred
- 6Onsite availability in San Jose with ability to travel less than 25% of time
- 7Physical stamina to lift up to 25 pounds and meet fitness center access expectations
- 8Strong communication skills for effective interaction with executives stakeholders consultants and project teams
