Overview

You will own execution of multiple special services group projects under $10 million from pre-construction through closeout. You manage cost, risk, and project controls for 5+ years of commercial construction in healthcare, higher education, advanced technology, life sciences, and commercial markets. You coordinate a team of project engineers, superintendents, and field coordinators while mentoring talent for growth. This role places you as the key point of contact with owners and architects, directly shaping project outcomes.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Drive daily execution of projects from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring schedule and budget adherence.
  • 2Manage project team members, including senior project engineers, project engineers, superintendents, and field office coordinators.
  • 3Own cost control, billings, collections, change management, cash flows, and monthly status reports.
  • 4Serve as the primary liaison with owners and architects, resolving complex issues and maintaining strong relationships.
  • 5Mentor and develop project engineers, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence.
  • 6Challenge and support the jobsite and self-perform work team to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • 7Coordinate planning and scheduling across projects, using Primavera or similar tools to manage timelines.
  • 8Deliver projects that meet critical success factors and achieve high customer satisfaction results.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years of commercial construction experience, ideally within core markets like healthcare, life sciences, or advanced technology.
  • 2Demonstrated understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • 3Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, project management software like Prolog, accounting cost management software like CMIC, and scheduling software like Primavera.
  • 4Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5Excellent listening and strong communication skills to coordinate diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • 6Ability to identify and resolve complex issues proactively.
  • 7A flexible, detail-oriented approach with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • 8A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude to drive project success.
