Project Engineer - Mechanical Contracting | Murray Company
Overview
You will own project scheduling, manpower planning, and administrative coordination for commercial plumbing and mechanical projects across the greater Los Angeles area. You work alongside project managers and field leaders who rank in the top 15% of ENR's Best Specialty Contractors. What You'll Do8
- 1Build project schedules and determine manpower levels with the Project Manager.
- 2Coordinate project personnel activities to keep work on schedule and within budget.
- 3Flag potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties to the Project Manager.
- 4Resolve project issues as they arise, collaborating with field teams.
- 5Draft and edit letters, memos, reports, and procedures for project documentation.
- 6Process daily administrative items per supervisor authorization, including RFIs and submittals.
- 7Prepare special reports, studies, and statistical analyses with minimal supervision.
- 8Use Excel to track budgets, change orders, and progress reports.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- 21+ year of construction industry experience, with interest in mechanical contracting.
- 3Proficiency in Excel and computer literacy.
- 4Exposure to construction software such as Bluebeam preferred.
- 5Experience with Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Build, or Procore a plus.
- 6Ability to climb ladders, access trenches, attics, and confined spaces.
- 7Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and wear PPE as needed.
- 8Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship.
