Project Controls Scheduler, Primavera P6 & Utility Projects
Overview
You will own the project scheduling function for electric utility projects, building and maintaining Primavera P6 schedules with 20 to 200 activities. You'll support multiple project managers through design and construction, ensuring schedules align with financial data and technical progress. This role sits on a collaborative team of engineers and planners, with exposure to transmission line, substation, and telecommunications projects. You'll work onsite in New York, with flexibility in schedule and a culture that values personal growth and community.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build and maintain Primavera P6 schedules for electric utility projects, balancing 20-200 activities across design and construction phases.
- 2Collaborate with multiple project managers to align schedules with project milestones and technical progress.
- 3Load and manage resources within schedules to track capacity and utilization.
- 4Perform quality checks on project controls deliverables, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- 5Compare schedule data with financial information to flag discrepancies and support budget alignment.
- 6Communicate with project teams to capture technical progress on transmission, substation, and telecom projects.
- 7Integrate schedule data into Excel dashboards using formulas and pivot tables for reporting.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field.
- 23+ years supporting project schedules with hands-on Primavera P6 experience.
- 3Strong analytical and organizational skills for managing multiple priorities.
- 4Clear written and verbal communication for collaborating with project teams.
- 5Comfort with schedules, data, and shifting priorities in a utility environment.
- 6Willingness to travel occasionally; valid driver's license required.
- 7Preferred: experience with utility, transmission, substation, or telecom projects.
- 8Preferred: intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Salary Insight
$70 - $125k per year
