
Project Controls & Forecasting Analyst, Transmission Capital Projects
Overview
Own cost forecasting and financial analysis for a multi-billion-dollar transmission program. You will drive project performance monitoring and reporting for capital projects, working with Primavera P6, SAP, and Power BI. What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain cost forecasts for transmission and capital projects using Primavera P6 and Excel models.
- 2Monitor project performance against baseline, flagging variances and recommending corrective actions.
- 3Produce monthly cost and schedule reports for stakeholders, using Power BI dashboards.
- 4Drive data integrity by managing cost data in SAP and reconciling with project schedules.
- 5Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles with detailed variance analysis.
- 6Partner with project managers to review change orders and assess cost impacts.
- 7Develop cost breakdown structures and work breakdown structures for new projects.
- 8Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis to support investment decisions and project closeout.
Requirements7
- 17+ years in project controls or cost engineering, preferably in utilities or capital projects.
- 25+ years with Primavera P6 for scheduling and cost management.
- 33+ years with SAP for financial tracking and reporting.
- 4Expert-level Excel skills for complex modeling and data analysis.
- 5Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools for dashboarding.
- 6Strong knowledge of EVM (Earned Value Management) and cost forecasting methodologies.
- 7Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, or related field.
