The Senior Analyst, Project Controls Cost leads project execution by developing construction plans, analyzing expenditures, and providing cost forecasting. This role supports project managers throughout the project lifecycle while contributing to the development of cost control frameworks. The ideal candidate drives proactive cost management and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance project outcomes.
What You'll Do11
- 1Support Project Managers in full lifecycle cost management ensuring accurate capture of actuals and forecasts aligned with corporate standards
- 2Provide cost input for construction execution plans, estimate updates, procurement strategies, and risk-adjusted forecasting
- 3Conduct commercial evaluations of vendor proposals to support change management and contract negotiations
- 4Review and validate invoices change orders and claims maintaining alignment with contracts and budgets
- 5Develop and analyze project cost forecasts including cash flow contingency usage and variance analysis
- 6Maintain CBS budget allocations work package tracking and integrate with schedule procurement updates
- 7Prepare monthly cost reports progress summaries dashboards and KPI updates for management review
- 8Monitor risks and collaborate with stakeholders to recommend mitigation actions and communicate cost impacts
- 9Manage financial controls processes including purchase requisitions purchase orders budget transfers and commitment management
- 10Provide ad-hoc cost studies scenario analyses and decision-support reporting as needed
- 11Drive consistency and continuous improvement of cost control practices tools and reporting standards
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree in engineering construction management finance accounting or related analytical discipline
- 22+ years experience in project cost control project accounting or financial analysis
- 3Strong analytical skills for forecasting variance assessment and interpreting cost schedule data
- 4Proficiency reviewing invoices change orders proposals and contract terms
- 5Experience coordinating across engineering procurement finance and construction stakeholders
- 65+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 73-5 seasons of relevant project controls experience preferred
- 8Certifications such as AACE CPC or PMP recommended
- 9Familiarity with Primavera P6 or Oracle Primavera Cloud
- 10Experience with EcoSys Oracle Fusion and Power BI dashboards
- 11Eligibility to work in the United States without immediate visa sponsorship
