Program Manager Ready for American Hospitality
Overview
The Program Manager oversees the Ready for American Hospitality curriculum, delivering training to refugees while managing partnerships with the Ethiopian Community Development Council and local employers. This role involves program administration, curriculum development, and mentorship to prepare participants for hospitality careers.
What You'll Do11
- 1Administer the program including teaching and scheduling course events while maintaining records and reporting to funders
- 2Coordinate with Fritz faculty and ACC staff to embed the program within relevant courses
- 3Recruit participants and conduct intake processes for refugee community members
- 4Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with industry needs and regularly assess its relevance
- 5Conduct assessments and facilitate mentoring relationships both in classroom and external settings
- 6Maintain supplies and conduct outreach to secure employment opportunities for graduates
- 7Oversee annual fundraising dinner and coordinate with ACC employment staff
- 8Hold career planning sessions and one-on-one check-ins with graduates
- 9Hold scheduled check-ins with alumni to determine progression and next steps
- 10Manage client records including training evaluations and progress documentation
- 11Perform financial monitoring and prepare reports for funders
Requirements11
- 1Undergraduate degree with minimum one year experience working with refugees
- 2Minimum one year experience developing and delivering training programs for adults in English language contexts
- 3Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- 4Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management using Excel
- 5Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask while handling multiple variables
- 6Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively via phone and email
- 7Demonstrated experience with new software and quick adaptation
- 8Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- 9GPA above 3.0 or equivalent professional experience
- 10Previous supervisory experience in administrative roles
- 11Prior hospitality experience particularly in event or catering settings
