What You'll Do11
- 1Own and ship projects across Detroit or Pontiac Saline offices ensuring milestones are met
- 2Lead VA/VE and Engineering Change activities to improve operational efficiency
- 3Partner with Product Engineering Manufacturing and Purchasing to coordinate product launches
- 4Manage budgets for tooling capital testing and prototype expenses
- 5Develop prototype solutions that align with customer expectations
- 6Drive process improvements using advanced quality planning techniques
- 7Implement exterior surface finishing processes including Anodizing
- 8Mentor junior staff and foster collaborative work environments
- 9Analyze performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities
- 10Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to enhance manufacturing capabilities
- 11Maintain detailed documentation of engineering changes and compliance standards
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Business Finance or related field
- 2Project Management Professional certification preferred
- 35-7 years experience in Automotive Sales Engineering or Operations Management
- 42+ years Tier 1 Automotive Project Program Management
- 5Expertise with APQP and exterior Class A surfaces
- 6Knowledge of assembly injection molding roll forming extrusion metal forming machining
- 7Ability to build relationships and lead through influence
- 8Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- 9Experience with manufacturing processes and technology
- 10Understanding of global operations spanning four continents
- 11Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement
