Program Manager, Financial Institution & OKRs
Overview
You will own the development direction and optimal performance of business unit program initiatives at a large scale financial institution. You will connect program work to enterprise and business unit priorities, drafting and aligning OKRs, KPIs, and short- and long-term objectives. You will report to Vienna, VA on a hybrid schedule. You will influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic thinking across the program portfolio. This multiyear contract offers direct impact on enterprise-level initiatives.
What You'll Do10
- 1Manage the development direction of business unit program initiatives, aligning each to enterprise and unit priorities.
- 2Draft and align OKRs and KPIs for assigned programs, setting measurable short- and long-term targets.
- 3Apply strategic thinking to connect program work to broader business goals and communicate that linkage to stakeholders.
- 4Influence and lead cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and delivery of program milestones.
- 5Support goal setting by facilitating workshops and reviews to validate objectives and key results.
- 6Track program performance against KPIs and adjust plans to meet targets in the first 90 days.
- 7Coordinate with finance and operations to ensure resource allocation supports program objectives.
- 8Drive continuous improvement to program management processes and reporting.
- 9Report on program health and progress to executive sponsors and governance committees.
- 10Manage dependencies across multiple initiatives and identify risks early to mitigate impact.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in program management, preferably within financial services or a large enterprise.
- 2Proven experience setting and aligning OKRs and KPIs for business initiatives.
- 3Strong ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
- 4Experience working in hybrid environments with reporting to Vienna, VA.
- 5Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to connect program work to enterprise priorities.
- 6Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- 7Experience with project management tools such as Jira or MS Project.
- 8Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; PMP or PgMP certification preferred.
