The Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) offers youth academic support career counseling job placement and technology training. Our mission encourages diverse high-need young people to explore their potential through academic career and community engagement. What You'll Do9
- 1Develop implement and oversee skill building activities for middle school youth
- 2Provide academic tutoring and assist with daily homework
- 3Create marketing strategies to recruit and retain youth in afterschool programs
- 4Collaborate with school staff to coordinate cultural celebrations and culminating events
- 5Maintain cleanliness and organization of program spaces
- 6Assist with data collection and programmatic reporting
- 7Administer evaluation data as required by funders
- 8Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training
- 9Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree preferred or 48 college units passed Instructional Aide Exam
- 2Knowledge of youth development practices and enrichment activity planning experience
- 3Classroom management conflict mediation and restorative practices experience
- 4Work with ethnically diverse youth and families experiencing adversity
- 5Ability to develop organize programs and special events
- 6Strong organizational communication and teamwork skills
- 7Capacity to multitask work independently and meet deadlines
- 8Proficiency with Google docs Microsoft Office and other technology
- 9Bilingual Cantonese Mandarin Spanish Tagalog preferred
- 10Ability to lift move 25lbs
