Overview

The Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) offers youth academic support career counseling job placement and technology training. Our mission encourages diverse high-need young people to explore their potential through academic career and community engagement. What You'll Do9

  • 1Develop implement and oversee skill building activities for middle school youth
  • 2Provide academic tutoring and assist with daily homework
  • 3Create marketing strategies to recruit and retain youth in afterschool programs
  • 4Collaborate with school staff to coordinate cultural celebrations and culminating events
  • 5Maintain cleanliness and organization of program spaces
  • 6Assist with data collection and programmatic reporting
  • 7Administer evaluation data as required by funders
  • 8Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training
  • 9Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor's degree preferred or 48 college units passed Instructional Aide Exam
  • 2Knowledge of youth development practices and enrichment activity planning experience
  • 3Classroom management conflict mediation and restorative practices experience
  • 4Work with ethnically diverse youth and families experiencing adversity
  • 5Ability to develop organize programs and special events
  • 6Strong organizational communication and teamwork skills
  • 7Capacity to multitask work independently and meet deadlines
  • 8Proficiency with Google docs Microsoft Office and other technology
  • 9Bilingual Cantonese Mandarin Spanish Tagalog preferred
  • 10Ability to lift move 25lbs
