Production Worker – Packaging Machine Operator
Overview
You will own the operation and setup of automated packaging machinery filling, cutting, sealing, and packaging sauce packets in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing plant. You'll work with auto packagers, cutters, and fillers, monitoring runs and resolving equipment jams. The role sits on a production team in a GMP-compliant facility, with opportunities to advance to lead or senior operator. What You'll Do9
- 1Set up and operate automated packaging machinery including auto packagers, cutters, and fillers for sauce packets and containers.
- 2Configure machinery by connecting and adjusting hoses to tankers, kettles, and fillers to ensure proper product flow.
- 3Install and replace film and rolls on packaging equipment, and adjust blades for accurate cutting and sealing.
- 4Enter and manage production orders in the computer system to ensure correct specs and quantities.
- 5Monitor equipment during runs, promptly clear jams, and perform basic troubleshooting to keep lines moving.
- 6Inspect products for defects and verify filled, cut, sealed, and packaged items meet GMP standards.
- 7Climb ladders and work on mezzanines above machinery, kettles, and tanks to access components.
- 8Lift up to 40 pounds to move materials and supplies as required.
- 9Follow GMP procedures and safety protocols, including proper attire and hygiene.
Requirements10
- 11+ year experience in a GMP environment.
- 21+ year packaging experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
- 31+ year manufacturing or general production experience.
- 4Ability to operate packaging machinery safely.
- 5Comfort lifting 40 pounds regularly.
- 6Comfort climbing ladders and working on mezzanines.
- 7Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- 8Strong attention to detail for quality checks.
- 9Basic computer skills for order entry.
- 10Reliable attendance including potential weekend or extended shifts.
