Private Events leadership role at a premier San Francisco private club, overseeing day-to-day event operations from setup to breakdown for private and member events at scale. This onsite position requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays in a historic club setting with multiple venues and a notable beverage program. What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and manage event operations to keep events on schedule and within budget while delivering member experiences
  • 2Design and execute vendor contracts, staffing plans, and on-site logistics for private and member events
  • 3Lead day-to-day supervision of in-house and outsourced staff and manage labor costs within budget
  • 4Drive cross-functional coordination with culinary, beverage, and production teams to ensure seamless service
  • 5Own pre-production, including menu notations, allergen info, and client branding for events
  • 6Scale event operations by developing standard processes from concept to completion across departments
  • 7Pair relationship-led client management with upselling opportunities for food, beverage, and services
  • 8Deliver post-event follow-up and reporting to ensure client satisfaction and process improvements
  • 9Improve inventory management of event items, bar stock, and equipment
  • 10Guide staff through briefings and training to uphold The Battery brand standards

Requirements10

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2Minimum of three years in a food and beverage focused environment
  • 3Minimum of three years of event planning and management experience in an upscale casual or fine dining environment
  • 4Able to bartend when necessary while maintaining client and guest relations
  • 5Basic math and computer skills
  • 6Familiarity generating a Banquet Event Order (BEO) / Group Event Order (GEO)
  • 7Flexibility with schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • 8Valid food handler’s certification and RBS Training certification (alcohol server training)
  • 9Ability to work up to 40+ hours per week in this full-time position
  • 10Strong communication and leadership skills for coordinating diverse teams
