Bartender, High-End Events & Craft Cocktails
Overview
Craft and serve premium beverages at high-end private events, including galas and corporate functions, for the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation. You will own the bar experience, from setup to breakdown, ensuring every guest receives an elevated and memorable service. Collaborate with an elite culinary and events team in a prestigious museum setting. This role demands mastery in mixology, wine service, and guest relations. Unlike standard bartending, you will work exclusively in event-driven, high-profile settings where precision and grace are paramount.
What You'll Do9
- 1Mix and serve craft cocktails, wine, and beer according to standardized recipes and guest preferences at events.
- 2Set up and break down full-service bar stations for catered events, organizing tools, ingredients, and supplies.
- 3Greet guests, take beverage orders from servers or directly, and provide wine recommendations using proper service techniques.
- 4Craft mixers and garnishes in collaboration with the culinary team to enhance drink presentations.
- 5Verify guest identification to comply with TABC age requirements for alcohol service.
- 6Manage an assigned cash bank, handle payments, and balance receipts accurately.
- 7Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area, placing inventory requests as needed.
- 8Assist in organizing catering storage areas and attend event meetings as required.
- 9Perform general cleaning duties to adhere to health and safety standards.
Requirements10
- 1TABC license required.
- 22+ years of bartending experience in high-end or upscale settings.
- 3Expert knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and craft cocktails, including presentation and service.
- 4Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- 5Strong interpersonal skills to engage guests respectfully and appropriately.
- 6Capable of transporting up to 50 lbs. continuously.
- 7Detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- 8Effective listening and direction-following skills.
- 9Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English.
- 10Must have a working email for communication.
