Experienced Bartender, Mixology & Nightlife
Overview
You will own the bar at The Alchemist Lounge, crafting cocktails for up to 200 guests per night in a high-volume nightclub setting. You will work beside a team of 8 bartenders and report directly to the head mixologist. This contract role puts your mixology skills front and center, with the freedom to design seasonal drink menus and train junior staff on cocktail preparation.
What You'll Do6
- 1Craft and serve cocktails and other beverages with precision, maintaining quality and presentation standards from the first pour to the last round.
- 2Engage guests with a friendly, energetic approach to drive drink and menu sales, turning first-time visitors into regulars.
- 3Keep the bar area spotless and organized, following food safety and sanitation protocols to pass health inspections every time.
- 4Monitor guest behavior to ensure a safe environment during peak hours, intervening calmly to prevent incidents.
- 5Track inventory levels, place orders for spirits and supplies, and cut waste by rotating stock and measuring pours.
- 6Coordinate with the events team to deliver seamless bar service for private parties and banquets, setting up and breaking down the bar as needed.
Requirements6
- 13+ years bartending in nightclubs, fine dining, or banquet settings, with a verifiable track record of high-volume service.
- 2food handling certification and deep knowledge of alcohol service laws, including checking IDs and refusing service when necessary.
- 3Strong multitasking under pressure: juggling multiple drink orders, cash transactions, and guest requests without losing composure.
- 4Proficiency in POS systems for order entry and payment processing, with basic math skills for cash handling.
- 5Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as the lounge's peak hours demand it.
- 6Knowledge of brewing techniques and craft cocktail recipes is a plus, showing a passion for the craft beyond standard pours.
