Overview
You own the bar at Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, crafting drinks for a high-volume patio and dining room in Phoenix. You pair with Barbacks to keep service sharp, recommend pours from a 30-tap draft system, and keep regulars coming back for your hospitality. This role puts you at the center of a fast-moving team with Aloha POS and flexible scheduling.
What You'll Do9
- 1Craft cocktails, mixed drinks, and draft beers per Cold Beers recipes, including specialty pours and garnishes.
- 2Engage guests with menu knowledge, suggest pairings, and spot refill needs before they ask.
- 3Take and process drink orders through Aloha POS with accuracy for special requests and dietary limits.
- 4Garnish and present each drink for visual appeal, matching Cold Beers glassware standards.
- 5Keep the bar stocked, clean, and organized, including tools, glassware, and perishable ingredients.
- 6Handle cash and card payments, balancing your drawer and flagging discrepancies promptly.
- 7Coordinate with servers, kitchen, and management to pace service during rush periods.
- 8Verify IDs and follow TIPS alcohol service rules to keep guests safe and compliant.
- 9Support teammates by restocking supplies and covering stations when needed.
Requirements9
- 11+ years bartending in a high-volume restaurant or bar setting.
- 2Valid Food Handlers Certification and Alcohol Service License.
- 3Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beers, and wines, plus current mixology trends.
- 4Skill with Aloha POS or similar restaurant point-of-sale systems.
- 5Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 15 pounds.
- 6Flexible schedule covering evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 7Strong communication and problem-solving for fast guest interactions.
- 8Attention to detail in drink recipes and presentation.
- 9Must be at least 21 years old.
