Overview

Own manufacturing challenges across cells and lines in aerospace production engineering, linking engineering intent to manufacturing reality at scale. Drive DFM and ECO rigor to accelerate readiness for production and elevate supplier capability to meet complex aerospace requirements. This role involves frequent shop-floor interaction, supplier audits, and drawing reviews with GD&T application, guiding manufacturability before release. You will collaborate with design and supplier teams to ensure manufacturability and process improvements across machining, castings, forgings, sheet metal, heat treat, and other aerospace processes.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and lead production engineering improvements across cells and lines to raise throughput and quality
  • 2Partner with suppliers through audits, vendor visits, and capability development to meet aerospace standards
  • 3Review drawings with strong GD&T application and manage ECOs from design to production
  • 4Provide Design for Manufacturability guidance on new designs prior to release
  • 5Hands-on collaboration on machining, castings, forgings, sheet metal, heat treat, and related processes on the shop floor
  • 6Own manufacturing challenges to enable design engineers to focus on innovation
  • 7Drive continuous improvement initiatives with a fast-paced, high-ownership mindset
  • 8Support supplier development programs and ensure capability aligns with complex aerospace requirements
  • 9Mentor junior engineers and contribute to shaping the engineering team's growth
  • 10Influence both product build and design decisions to optimize manufacturability and reliability
