What You'll Do9

  • 1Oversee daily operations of CNC production, assembly, and secondary press teams across both shifts.
  • 2Coordinate with the Production Manager and Master Scheduler to set priorities and balance workloads.
  • 3Build and maintain a monthly training calendar to boost assembler, operator, and ERP user skills.
  • 4Create training aids that raise skill levels for CNC operators and assembly staff.
  • 5Schedule repairs and preventive maintenance for all key production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • 6Control costs and labor utilization while tracking productivity against targets.
  • 7Report key performance indicators: safety, on-time delivery, machine utilization, labor efficiency, cost of quality, first-pass yield, and 6S scores.
  • 8Participate in the quoting process for new jobs using cost and capacity data.
  • 9Support ERP item setup for new parts and drive continuous improvement projects.

Requirements9

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 27+ years of hands-on production management in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3Lean Manufacturing certification or training in 6S, Kaizen, or Visual Management preferred.
  • 4Proven experience managing CNC machines, secondary operations, and multi-part assembly in a medium-to-high volume setting.
  • 5Aerospace industry experience is required.
  • 6Track record of mentoring and empowering teams to exceed performance targets.
  • 7Skilled in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of CNC equipment.
  • 8Strong analytical skills for cost modeling and customer quotes.
  • 9Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
