Overview

What You'll Do11
- 1Model healthy ethical behavior during all interactions including HIPAA compliance
- 2Maintain primary caseload and advocate for participant needs
- 3Create and evaluate individualized treatment plans
- 4Document services accurately following agency and regulatory standards
- 5Update treatment plans promptly based on progress assessments
- 6Assist with benefit applications such as DPSS and SSI
- 7Facilitate effective use of case management resources
- 8Support residents in maintaining a safe environment free of substances
- 9Attend required meetings and complete training sessions
- 10Collaborate with supervisors to ensure program alignment
- 11Answer phones and process screening forms efficiently
Requirements8
- 1Current SUD Counselor registration with state approval and certification within five years
- 2Enrollment in an approved counselor education program with documented progress
- 3High School diploma or GED
- 4Knowledge of 12-Step programs and basic computer skills
- 5Valid government-issued photo ID
- 6Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- 7California driver’s license if using personal vehicle for commuting or transporting participants
- 8Compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards including agency policies
