Press Operator Assistant - Philadelphia Facility
Overview
We seek an experienced Press Operator Assistant at our Feasterville location. The role involves mounting flexographic printing plates and preparing print jobs. Candidates will assist the press operator during production runs and support quality control. This position offers onsite work in Philadelphia with competitive pay.
What You'll Do11
- 1Mount flexographic printing plates accurately according to specifications
- 2Prepare upcoming print jobs by reviewing job tickets and artwork
- 3Verify production materials are available before job setup
- 4Assist with press make-ready and changeovers
- 5Clean and inspect printing plates and related equipment
- 6Ensure proper plate mounting for registration and print quality
- 7Support ink preparation and viscosity checks
- 8Troubleshoot print quality and press performance issues
- 9Maintain housekeeping under 5S and GMP standards
- 10Follow safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures
- 11Document production activities and report problems
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Minimum one year manufacturing experience
- 3Previous experience in production assistance or manufacturing
- 4Basic mechanical aptitude and safe equipment operation
- 5Ability to read work orders and production documentation
- 6Physical capability to lift fifty pounds
- 7Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- 8Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- 9Experience with flexographic printing terminology
- 10Knowledge of color control and print registration
