What You'll Do8
- 1Read job orders and load dies into press while installing print cylinders and screens
- 2Fill ink pans screens and pumps with specified inks and calibrate press settings
- 3Start and adjust press speed alignment stock and engage print cylinders
- 4Inspect approval strips for defects and make necessary adjustments
- 5Clean plates cylinders dies and perform routine maintenance tasks
- 6Mix inks to achieve consistent colors and manage housekeeping standards
- 7Stand and walk between machines while lifting up to 50 pounds
- 8Interpret measurement tools and apply close color vision requirements
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED or 1-3 years related experience
- 2Minimum 5 years flexographic narrow web press experience preferred
- 3Ability to calculate measurements using whole numbers fractions and decimals
- 4Strong vision skills including color vision depth perception and focus adjustment
- 5Physical stamina to stand and walk throughout shift
