Overview
Manage commercial label inspector machines setup and operation including visual quality control. Operate equipment to slit continuous printed material into strips of specified width. Own quality assurance for product finish packaging and shipping.
What You'll Do11
- 1Receive job assignments from Press Supervisor or Team Lead
- 2Select correct dies cores and rewind methods based on job specifications
- 3Review job jackets to address finishing packaging and shipping requirements
- 4Inspect products for color size die cut perforations and print quantity
- 5Observe material flow to detect irregular cutting and winding issues
- 6Ensure work quality including color size die cut perforations and packaging quantity
- 7Assist in cutting collating and packaging converting jobs
- 8Perform preventative maintenance on machines
- 9Replace or remove blades on inspection machines
- 10Complete paperwork for each job and package finished goods for shipment
- 11Follow safety rules and operate equipment according to manufacturer instructions
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and or training
- 2One year manufacturing environment printing or packaging experience preferred
- 3Ability to read safety rules operating and maintenance manuals
- 4Proficiency adding subtracting multiplying dividing using whole numbers fractions and decimals
- 5Ability to use ruler scales and other measurement devices
- 6Pass background and drug screen
- 7Strong physical stamina standing walking lifting up to 50 pounds
- 8Close vision color vision depth perception and focus adjustment ability
