Prep Bar Garnisher
Overview
Design and execute cocktail garnish preparation to elevate guest beverage experiences. Ensure high-quality, consistent garnishes while supporting efficient bar operations.
What You'll Do11
- 1Wash slice cut and prepare cocktail garnishes including citrus herbs berries twists skewers
- 2Create specialty garnishes such as dehydrated fruit infused sugars and edible flowers
- 3Restock garnish trays preparation stations and bar refrigerators during service
- 4Coordinate with bartenders to anticipate needs and maintain smooth service flow
- 5Prepare simple mixers syrups and other beverage components as assigned
- 6Label date store and rotate ingredients using FIFO practices to preserve freshness
- 7Follow food safety sanitation and health standards to ensure safe food handling
- 8Maintain a clean organized garnish preparation area ready for immediate use
- 9Monitor inventory and communicate replenishment needs to management
- 10Assist with receiving and storing produce and bar supplies
- 11Take on additional duties to support hotel operations
Requirements11
- 1Previous experience in bar restaurant kitchen or food preparation preferred
- 2Minimum age 18 years
- 3Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- 4Strong knife skills and basic culinary knowledge
- 5Knowledge of food safety sanitation storage and product rotation
- 6Excellent organization attention to detail and time management abilities
- 7Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
- 8Positive attitude collaborative communication and teamwork skills
- 9Physical stamina to stand walk and lift 10–25 pounds
- 10Experience with garnish preparation techniques
- 11Familiarity with bar equipment and tools
