Overview
You will lead IT architecture planning for Eversource's Gas Real Time systems and Security, shaping technology strategy across the enterprise. You will own the roadmap for a portfolio of applications aligned with business goals, working with IT and business leaders to drive outcomes that enhance customer experience. Your team of solution architects will deliver highly complex projects spanning multiple technical areas, including SCADA and AVEVA tools. This hybrid role in Boston requires three days in office and offers the chance to make a real impact on energy infrastructure.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and grow talent in solution architecture, leading a team that designs and models SCADA and AVEVA solutions for gas operations.
- 2Own portfolio IT roadmaps, guiding technology direction for Gas Real Time systems aligned with business strategy.
- 3Collaborate with architects on enterprise strategy, ensuring alignment across portfolios and business segments.
- 4Analyze current architecture to identify weaknesses and risks, then implement improvements that expand capacity and reduce cost.
- 5Develop and communicate architectural policies and standards, presenting trends to leadership and stakeholders.
- 6Onboard and manage team members, reviewing solution quality and setting guidelines for CICD delivery pipelines.
- 7Drive adoption of SAFe Agile and test-driven development across the portfolio, coordinating with PMO and product teams.
- 8Support complex troubleshooting across the portfolio, resolving issues that span Azure and AVEVA environments.
Requirements8
- 110+ years experience in architecture or lead subject matter expert roles.
- 23+ years supervising and leading architects in a complex IT environment.
- 3Deep understanding of IT and OT systems, including gas distribution and SCADA software like AVEVA.
- 4Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and CICD pipeline delivery.
- 5Proficiency in SAFe Agile planning and work methodologies, with experience in behavior-driven development.
- 6Track record of managing vendor relationships, including performance and SLA adherence.
- 7Strong business acumen and experience working with leadership to drive cost-effective solutions.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
