What You'll Do11
- 1Lead gas generation project development from site identification through construction support
- 2Partner with Commercial Data Center Development Renewable Generation Development Solutions Engineering to create integrated Powered Land Solutions
- 3Evaluate project feasibility by coordinating siting fuel supply interconnection and permitting strategies
- 4Manage project schedules budgets forecasts and financial models while tracking development risk registers
- 5Coordinate pipeline identification utility engagement and fuel supply strategy during commercial negotiations
- 6Work with stakeholders including engineering consultants permitting agencies landowners and contractors to advance milestones
- 7Support permitting efforts public meetings regulatory engagement and environmental diligence
- 8Plan engineering site activities land activities and infrastructure to maintain project timelines
- 9Handle contracts and ensure compliance with agreements covering site control fuel supply and commercial contracts
- 10Identify risks recommend mitigation strategies and communicate updates to leadership
- 11Lead project handoffs to Construction upon milestone achievement while representing AES professionally
Requirements9
- 15+ years developing natural gas generation or large-scale energy infrastructure projects
- 2Bachelor's degree in Engineering Business Finance Economics Environmental Science or related field
- 3Knowledge of project development permitting utility coordination interconnection pipeline infrastructure and commercial contracting
- 4Experience with fuel supply strategies utilities pipeline operators and integrated energy infrastructure
- 5Familiarity with gas generation technologies and ability to collaborate across technical commercial and customer-facing teams
- 6Preference for experience supporting data centers large-load customers powered land projects
- 7Strong project management organizational and problem-solving abilities
- 8Excellent communication skills effective across diverse audiences
- 9Willingness to travel as required
