Project Engineer Gas
Overview
Design and develop natural gas facilities such as compression liquefaction CNG or LNG storage solutions and pipeline connections for power projects across the US. Own the project execution from preliminary engineering to commissioning while ensuring safety and efficiency.
What You'll Do11
- 1Coordinate with power team to provide preliminary engineering and planning estimates for pipeline connections and backup storage solutions
- 2Plan and execute receipt point facility contracts with pipelines through business development and gas supply teams
- 3Develop and present project execution plans covering capital budget timing sourcing strategies and risk mitigation for projects seeking FID
- 4Manage permitting engineering procurement and construction commissioning phases of gas pipelines CNG and LNG storage projects
- 5Validate and approve invoices for project materials and services
- 6Provide regular milestone reports including projected cost schedule and potential risks
- 7Ensure organized documented handoff to operations
- 8Facilitate project lookbacks to capture successes and learnings
- 9Lead daily activities and drive operational improvements
- 10Collaborate cross-functionally to meet project deadlines
- 11Maintain compliance with regulatory standards throughout project lifecycle
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor of Science in Chemical Mechanical Electrical or Petroleum Engineering
- 2Recent experience managing $30MM+ projects with strong pipeline or facility engineering permitting construction and commissioning expertise
- 3Proven track record with LNG liquefaction storage and virtual pipelines
- 45+ years of experience in pipeline and facility engineering permitting construction and commissioning
- 5Certified Professional Coder CPC or equivalent certification
- 6BCBA certification preferred
- 7Strong knowledge of AWS Kubernetes and React frameworks
- 8Expertise in Spark Airflow and other data tools
- 9Demonstrated ability to operate in fast-paced environments
- 10Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
- 11Ability to thrive in collaborative team settings
Salary Insight
$180 - $220k per year
