Platform Engineer / DevSecOps Engineer - AWS
Overview
You will own the AWS-based platform patterns, shared DevSecOps services, and CI/CD pipelines for the GrantSolutions modernization. AWS, Terraform, and GitHub Actions are core. You will collaborate with Scrum teams, vendors, and Federal stakeholders to ensure secure, compliant delivery. This role stands out by embedding security early and enabling multi-vendor integration.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build AWS cloud platform capabilities supporting large-scale modernization.
- 2Implement secure CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- 3Develop Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- 4Automate environment provisioning with AWS services like ECS/EKS, Lambda, and RDS.
- 5Integrate security scanning (static analysis, dependency, container) into pipelines.
- 6Implement observability using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
- 7Manage environments with IAM, VPC, and networking controls.
- 8Troubleshoot platform and deployment issues across distributed systems.
- 9Support release automation and production readiness for legacy and modern integration.
Requirements10
- 15+ years in platform engineering, DevSecOps, or cloud engineering.
- 2Hands-on AWS experience including ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and RDS.
- 3Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- 4Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- 5Containerization with Docker and orchestration via ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
- 6Implementing security controls in pipelines: static analysis, scanning, secrets management.
- 7Observability with CloudWatch, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
- 8Linux administration and scripting with Python or Bash.
- 9Familiarity with VPC, load balancers, DNS, WAF, and VPNs.
- 10Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
