DevOps Engineer, CI/CD & Cloud Platforms
Overview
Design, build, and operate secure, scalable delivery platforms for a portfolio of government and commercial clients. You will own the CI/CD pipeline architecture across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, automating everything from infrastructure provisioning to production deployment. You will work with a collaborative team of engineers and architects, modernizing deployment workflows with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. This role blends hands-on platform engineering with strategic automation, tackling cloud adoption and reliability challenges from day one.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and implement CI/CD pipelines on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud that cut release time by 40% within the first quarter.
- 2Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep, treating infrastructure as code.
- 3Build deployment scripts and tooling in Python, PowerShell, or Bash to eliminate manual steps.
- 4Manage source control workflows on GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps, including branching and release management.
- 5Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes or managed platforms like EKS or AKS.
- 6Configure monitoring and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog to surface issues before users notice.
- 7Harden pipelines with DevSecOps practices, integrating vulnerability scanning and secrets management.
- 8Lead incident response for deployment failures, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes.
- 9Document architecture decisions, runbooks, and operational procedures for handoff to support teams.
Requirements10
- 13+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud engineering roles.
- 2Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud in production environments.
- 3Proven track record designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure Pipelines.
- 4Deep knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep for Infrastructure as Code.
- 5Strong scripting ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- 6Experience with Git-based workflows, including pull requests and release branches.
- 7Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, compute, storage, and security controls.
- 8Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
- 9Strong problem-solving skills and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
