DevOps Engineer, CI/CD & Cloud
Overview
You will own the CI/CD pipeline and deployment infrastructure for a mission-critical Agile program, ensuring high availability across multiple production environments. You will collaborate with developers and operations to containerize applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and implement observability with Prometheus and Grafana. What You'll Do7
- 1Build, maintain, and scale CI/CD workflows using GitLab CI/CD to support multiple production environments.
- 2Deploy and manage containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster operations and troubleshooting.
- 3Implement observability, logging, and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana for system reliability.
- 4Write and maintain automation scripts in Python and Bash to streamline operational tasks.
- 5Integrate container builds into pipelines, including hardening images and security scanning.
- 6Collaborate with the team to ensure low-to-high code transfer processes work smoothly.
- 7Drive continuous improvement in deployment processes and infrastructure as code.
Requirements11
- 1Current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- 25+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure, or DevSecOps in a cloud environment.
- 3Strong Linux/Unix command line proficiency, preferably on RHEL-based systems.
- 4Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
- 5Hands-on Kubernetes experience with cluster operations, workload management, and troubleshooting.
- 6Strong proficiency with Docker writing Dockerfiles and building hardened images.
- 7Advanced proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation.
- 8Familiarity with low-to-high code transfer processes.
- 9Familiarity with agile methodologies and ability to work in a distributed team.
- 10CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain certification quickly.
- 11Willing to work onsite in Sterling, VA.
