Phlebotomist, Lab Services & Member Support - One Medical Denver CO
Overview
Phlebotomist and administrative support role at One Medical focusing on Senior Health members 65+ in an in office and lab setting. You will perform venipuncture, assist with extended scope duties, and handle front desk tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. You will be the first point of contact for patients and collaborators, maintaining an on brand office environment and supporting providers and the virtual medical team. This is a full time onsite role based in Aurora, CO with a strong emphasis on compassionate, patient centered care.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build best in class patient interactions using C I CARE in all clinical and administrative touchpoints and manage scheduling, intake, and follow ups for a positive in office experience
- 2Provide venipuncture and extended scope duties with careful technique across pediatrics to geriatrics
- 3Maintain accurate specimen labeling, handling, processing, inventory, and sterilization to ensure high quality lab operations
- 4Answer patient messages, assist with lab case follow ups, and support clerical tasks for providers and the virtual care team
- 5Own front desk duties including check in/out, insurance verification, and printouts while upholding service level expectations
- 6Support team development through participation in huddles, problem solving, and ad hoc requests for providers
- 7Perform opening and closing duties and keep patient and employee spaces organized and stocked
- 8Master our technology suite including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral, and EMR systems to complete daily tasks
- 9Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, and growth oriented team culture
- 10Demonstrate empathy, strong communication, and adaptability in dynamic clinic environments
Requirements10
- 1Hold Medical Assistant certification from a recognized body or CPT credential with current or recent activity within 6 months
- 2Graduate from a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP, ABHES, or equivalent
- 3Complete Medical Assistant training through the U S Armed Forces or equivalent program
- 4Minimum of 6 months relevant Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist experience
- 5Proficiency in either venipuncture techniques or vaccine administration
- 6Strong customer service and written and verbal communication skills
- 7High School Diploma or equivalent
- 8Proficiency with computers and multiple software systems
- 9Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and adapt to change
- 10Commitment to delivering patient centered, compassionate care
