What You'll Do10
- 1Prepare lesson plans and materials aligned with the Pharmacy Technology curriculum and course syllabi.
- 2Deliver instruction using varied techniques to support diverse learning styles in classroom and lab settings.
- 3Maintain open communication with students on progress, attendance, and performance, addressing inquiries promptly.
- 4Provide academic advising, tutoring, and office hours to support student mastery of course material and career development.
- 5Assess student learning outcomes and implement strategies to enhance performance and course effectiveness.
- 6Participate in program review, assessment, and evaluation using student achievement data.
- 7Collaborate with colleagues in departmental meetings, industry advisory boards, and faculty development activities.
- 8Mentor new faculty members to ensure their successful integration into the institution.
- 9Document grades, attendance, and advising in the institution's designated software systems, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
- 10Maintain classroom and lab equipment, initiating repair processes as needed.
Requirements9
- 1Pharmacy Technology Certificate of Achievement from an accredited institution.
- 2State Pharmacy Technician Licensure in California.
- 3CPhT or EXCPT certification.
- 42 years of Pharmacy Technician experience in a pharmacy setting.
- 5Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pharmacy-related materials and communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
- 6Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and course delivery software.
- 7Ability to perform basic calculations relevant to pharmacy course material and student assessments.
- 8Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 25 pounds in an on-site environment.
- 9Willingness to undergo background screening including criminal, education, and motor vehicle checks.
