Overview
You will own prescription fulfillment and patient care at a high-volume CVS pharmacy, directly impacting medication safety and customer satisfaction. Working with RxConnect and Inventory Management Systems, you'll manage workflows across pick-up, production, and consultation. What You'll Do8
- 1Greet patients and process prescriptions accurately using RxConnect, verifying patient information and insurance eligibility.
- 2Measure, count, and package medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring zero errors in dosage and labeling.
- 3Resolve insurance rejections by contacting payers or patients, and update patient profiles for smooth billing.
- 4Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and processing returns under the Inventory Management System.
- 5Operate the cash register and handle transactions, including cash, credit, and mobile payments, with speed and accuracy.
- 6Direct patients to the appropriate pharmacist for counseling and answer general questions about medication storage and usage.
- 7Maintain a clean, organized work area and sterile compounding environment per USP 795 guidelines.
- 8Complete all mandatory training modules and state-mandated certification within 90 days of hire.
Requirements8
- 118+ years of age
- 2High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3State Pharmacy Technician licensure or ability to obtain within 30 days
- 4PTCB certification preferred
- 56+ months of experience in a retail, pharmacy, or customer service setting preferred
- 6Proven ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 30 lbs
- 7Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills for calculating day's supply
- 8Excellent verbal communication skills, including active listening and clear interaction with patients and colleagues
