Overview
You will own prescription fulfillment and patient service at a high-volume CVS Health pharmacy in San Francisco, processing 200+ prescriptions daily. You will work alongside Pharmacists and fellow Technicians, mastering SOPs across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off. What You'll Do8
- 1Fill prescriptions accurately at production, drop-off, pick-up, and drive-thru using CVS systems and SOPs.
- 2Build patient trust by counseling on medications, immunizations, and over-the-counter options, resolving concerns with empathy.
- 3Manage inventory: put away deliveries, run cycle counts, and process returns-to-stock to keep shelves stocked.
- 4Administer vaccines and point-of-care tests as a certified Immunizer, monitoring reactions and reporting adverse events.
- 5Verify patient data and labels to prevent errors, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and controlled substance laws.
- 6Flex between stores in the Bay Area market, covering shifts to meet business volume.
- 7Complete mandatory Board of Pharmacy training and state-specific licensing within the first 90 days.
- 8Contribute to a safe team culture by sharing feedback and following all CVS policies on privacy and safety.
Requirements10
- 11-3 years as a Pharmacy Technician in retail or hospital settings.
- 2State-level licensure as a Pharmacy Technician per California Board of Pharmacy guidelines.
- 3High school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment in a high school equivalency program.
- 4Must be at least 16 years old (or meet state-specific age requirements).
- 5Ability to pass CVS's background check and drug screening.
- 6Good math skills for calculating day's supply and dosages.
- 7Physical stamina for standing, lifting up to 20 lbs, and repetitive hand movements.
- 8Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel to other stores in the area.
- 9Strong communication and active listening to serve diverse patients.
- 10Ability to complete required CVS training and certification within designated timeframes.
