Pharmacy Technician, Retail & Customer Service
Overview
You will support pharmacy operations at a CVS Health retail store, filling prescriptions with speed and accuracy while delivering patient care. You will work alongside Pharmacists and a dedicated team, following SOPs to ensure safety and compliance. This role offers paid training and a path to certification in a supportive, patient-focused environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Fill prescriptions accurately at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workstations
- 2Provide patient care by showing empathy and offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone
- 3Complete inventory tasks like receiving deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stocks
- 4Assist in vaccine administration, including preparing and administering shots after completing Technician Immunizer training
- 5Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws, CVS policies, and privacy regulations
- 6Handle customer interactions with active listening and clear communication to resolve issues or escalate to the Pharmacist
- 7Adapt to shifting priorities and work in different store locations as needed
- 8Support pharmacy team by following workflow procedures and contributing to a positive work environment
Requirements8
- 11-3 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
- 2Completion of state required licensure and certification or ability to obtain within specified timeframe
- 3High school diploma or GED, or actively enrolled in high school equivalency program
- 4Ability to pass a background check and comply with state board regulations
- 5Strong attention to detail and ability to confirm prescription accuracy
- 6Basic math skills for counting and calculating dosages
- 7Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform repetitive motions
- 8Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and travel to other stores in the area
