Pharmacy Technician, Ambulatory & Specialty Pharmacist Support
Overview
Own ambulatory pharmacy operations support at an academic medical center with focus on documentation, prescription processing, and specialty medication deliveries. Work across Menlo Park and Palo Alto campuses with a transition initiative and growth projects. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely patient service and compliance. This contract role offers long-term stability for technicians passionate about ambulatory pharmacy practice.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build EPIC documentation workflows to ensure accurate patient records
- 2Process specialty prescriptions with attention to regulatory compliance
- 3Coordinate and track medication deliveries with FedEx and other couriers
- 4Communicate with internal teams to ensure timely patient service and issue resolution
- 5Support departmental transitions and operational improvements during site relocation
- 6Contribute to ongoing ambulatory pharmacy projects and process optimization
- 7Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and internal procedures
- 8Assist in training and onboarding related to new workflows
- 9Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to ambulatory pharmacy operations
Requirements8
- 1Active Pharmacy Technician license (state-appropriate)
- 2Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- 3Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- 4Experience with EPIC preferred but not required
- 5Interest in ambulatory outpatient pharmacy operations
- 6Comfortable in hospital affiliated clinical environments (non inpatient)
- 7Collaborative organized and service oriented
