What You'll Do9
- 1Enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy system with accuracy.
- 2Fill, label, package, and prepare prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- 3Process insurance claims for Medicaid, Medicare, commercial, and 340B prescriptions.
- 4Assist patients with pickups, refills, transfers, and medication inquiries, referring clinical questions to pharmacists.
- 5Handle payments following strict cash-handling procedures.
- 6Manage medication orders, inventory, stock rotation, and removal of expired medications.
- 7Support clinic medication and vaccine orders.
- 8Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- 9Collaborate with healthcare providers, nurses, medical assistants, and pharmacists for coordinated care.
Requirements5
- 11+ years of pharmacy technician experience required.
- 22-3 years of pharmacy technician experience strongly preferred.
- 3Active and clear Colorado pharmacy technician license.
- 4Certification from PTCB or NHA required.
- 5Experience with EPIC Willow preferred; training available if needed.
