Overview
You will own plaintiff personal injury cases from intake to resolution at LaRock & Perez LLP, a New York-based firm handling high-stakes litigation. You will draft motions, pleadings, and discovery documents while coordinating with attorneys, clients, and courts. You bring 4-5 years of New York plaintiff PI experience and bilingual Spanish fluency. This role offers direct trial preparation exposure and a collaborative team environment.
What You'll Do6
- 1Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence for personal injury cases.
- 2Conduct legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis and summarize findings for attorneys.
- 3Manage case files, discovery materials, and client records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- 4Coordinate court filings, deadlines, and docket management to keep cases on track.
- 5Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and coordinating witnesses.
- 6Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in English and Spanish.
Requirements7
- 14-5 years of paralegal experience in New York plaintiff personal injury law.
- 2Bilingual Spanish fluency, both written and verbal.
- 3Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- 4Strong knowledge of New York court procedures, filing systems, and deadlines.
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 6Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
