Overview

This role owns client communication and case management for a Texas personal injury firm, from intake to settlement. You will work onsite in San Marcos, TX, supporting a fast-growing practice with a caseload of pre-litigation matters. You will collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and case managers, ensuring files stay organized and deadlines are met. This position demands bilingual fluency and Microsoft Office proficiency, with Filevine experience a plus. You will directly impact client satisfaction and case outcomes.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients, answering calls and emails, providing case updates, and documenting all interactions.
  • 2Manage daily case tasks from intake through settlement, updating the case management system and tracking deadlines.
  • 3Monitor client treatment and follow up on gaps, requesting and organizing medical records and bills.
  • 4Obtain police reports, insurance information, and liability documents, communicating with carriers as directed.
  • 5Compile settlement demand packages, including medical records, bills, and wage-loss documentation, and prepare chronologies.
  • 6Track settlement demands and offers, updating files and communicating with clients on settlement status.
  • 7Maintain organized electronic files and accurate documentation for a high-volume caseload.
  • 8Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure case readiness and identify potential delays.

Requirements8

  • 11+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Case Manager, or similar role; personal injury experience preferred.
  • 2Understanding of the personal injury pre-litigation process.
  • 3Experience with medical records, medical bills, insurance claims, or settlement demands preferred.
  • 4Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • 5Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and competing deadlines.
  • 6Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software; Filevine experience is a plus.
  • 7Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • 8Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
