Personal Care Attendant, Home Health Support & Dementia Care
Overview
Caremate Wellness Solutions provides non medical personal care and living assistance to clients in their homes to maintain health and independence. You will support activities of daily living, monitor safety, and communicate changes to the agency. This is a contract role in Dallas, onsite in Arlington with a flexible schedule and a starting wage of $13.02 per hour. You will join a team focused on compassionate, patient centered care and ongoing training to grow professionally.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build relationships with clients to support bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, meal prep, mobility monitoring, and medication reminders.
- 2Provide direct non medical personal care following an approved plan of care and document changes in condition.
- 3Perform safety and wellness observations each shift and address hazards in the client’s environment.
- 4Communicate promptly with the agency about changes in condition or living environment.
- 5Maintain a safe care area free from falls, fire, and trip hazards and adhere to agency safety standards and procedures.
- 6Assist family members or primary caregivers by teaching safe transfer, turning, and repositioning techniques.
- 7Update job knowledge by participating in agency required training and education opportunities.
- 8Enhance agency and service reputation by taking ownership to add value to services offered.
- 9Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication and bedside manner when interacting with clients and families.
- 10Meet transportation and reliability requirements to ensure consistent care delivery.
Requirements10
- 16 months or more of direct caregiving experience
- 2Must be self directed and service oriented
- 3Strong interpersonal skills and bedside manner
- 4Patience and compassion for elderly and/or disabled individuals
- 5Experience with Dementia/Alzheimer's or willingness to train
- 6Excellent verbal and written communication
- 7Dependable with reliable transportation
- 8Meet background eligibility requirements
- 9Provide 2 professional references
- 10Complete all assigned agency training by deadlines
