Personal Care Aide, Home Care - Daytime & Weekend Blocks in Dallas
Overview
Personal Care Aide role providing hands-on daily living support at client homes in Dallas. You will help with bathing, grooming, mobility, meal prep, medication reminders, and companionship for clients who live independently. What You'll Do10
- 1Build respectful, safe assistance with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and transfers for clients.
- 2Design and supervise mobility support and ROM routines using walker or wheelchair as prescribed.
- 3Plan and prepare simple, nutritious meals and monitor hydration for clients.
- 4Maintain a safe, clean, and organized home with light housekeeping, laundry, and fall-prevention checks.
- 5Provide timely medication reminders and note changes in condition for supervising nurse.
- 6Offer meaningful companionship through conversation, games, and escorted outings.
- 7Drive or accompany clients to appointments, groceries, and community activities.
- 8Document daily observations and communicate updates to the supervising team.
- 9Support clients in maintaining independence by promoting routines and safety practices.
- 10Adapt to client needs with dependable, compassionate care within the service area.
Requirements5
- 1Prior PCA, caregiver, HHA, or CNA experience is a plus but training available.
- 2Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel within service area.
- 3Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comply with infection-control and safety protocols.
- 4Friendly, clear communicator who respects client dignity and confidentiality.
- 5Dependable, detail-oriented with strong observation skills to notice small changes.
