What You'll Do11
- 1Assist licensed staff with patient movement and safe handling
- 2Perform terminal and deep cleaning of operating rooms
- 3Maintain clean environment through regular spill removal and linen management
- 4Strip wax and buffer floors on a consistent schedule
- 5Return surgical equipment to proper locations after use
- 6Transport patients between operating rooms and clinical areas
- 7Obtain and deliver medical specimens and supplies
- 8Stock supply areas with linens and fluid warmers
- 9Conduct routine maintenance on housekeeping equipment
- 10Operate wet vacuums and floor scrubbers
- 11Ensure safe patient transport practices
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2AHA Heartsaver AED certification
- 3Physical stamina for standing walking climbing carrying pushing pulling twisting bending reaching overhead squatting kneeling crawling
- 4Ability to lift floor to waist 30 lbs and waist level above 30 lbs
- 5Accurate near and far vision color discrimination depth perception
- 6Anticipated exposure to bloodborne pathogens chemicals and airborne communicable diseases
