Rehabilitation Services Aide - Per Diem
Overview
You will prepare patients for treatment and support therapists during therapy sessions at St. Marks Place. You will transport patients using stretchers and wheelchairs, maintain equipment, and ensure the department runs smoothly. You will own patient readiness and department order, directly impacting care delivery. This per diem role offers schedule flexibility and exposure to clinical rehab operations.
What You'll Do9
- 1Prepare patients for treatment and assist therapists during therapy sessions.
- 2Transport patients to and from the department using stretchers or wheelchairs, ensuring safety and comfort.
- 3Maintain equipment and the working area in clean, orderly condition to support efficient operations.
- 4Order linens and supplies, keeping inventory organized and stocked.
- 5Position patients for treatment and assist with transfers using proper techniques.
- 6Assemble and place equipment and supplies for therapist use before and during sessions.
- 7Perform essential clerical duties: taking messages, entering and retrieving basic data from the computer, and running errands.
- 8Transport equipment and supplies between locations as needed.
- 9Assist in workshops and perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements6
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 20-1 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- 3Ability to operate stretchers and wheelchairs safely.
- 4Basic computer proficiency for data entry and retrieval.
- 5Physical ability to lift and move patients and equipment.
- 6Strong communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
