Overview
We seek a per diem Medical Assistant to support our Swampscott practice. This role operates Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The position involves assisting senior assistants, patient care, and administrative tasks within a high-quality healthcare environment.
What You'll Do11
- 1Assist junior Medical Assistants with daily operations and onboarding training
- 2Guide patients to examination rooms and prepare clinical equipment
- 3Measure vital signs weight and height while recording patient information
- 4Explain treatment procedures and coordinate educational materials
- 5Handle phone calls take dictation and complete insurance documentation
- 6Collect and process laboratory specimens under supervision
- 7Maintain immunization inventory and verify expiration dates
- 8Administer vaccinations when certified or with provider supervision
- 9Implement quality initiatives such as patient identification and hand hygiene
- 10Support physicians by facilitating patient flow and administrative workflows
- 11Perform basic phlebotomy and clinical support tasks
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred
- 3Basic Life Support certification
- 4Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- 51-2 years direct medical assistant experience required
