Pediatric RN Emergency Department - $2.5k Weekly Pay
Overview
You will own the full nursing process for pediatric patients in a busy ED, delivering care that meets Amergis standards across Washington, DC hospitals. You will collaborate with physicians and co-workers, triaging and intervening under pressure while monitoring equipment and psychosocial needs. This role stands out for its weekly pay of $2.5k+ and the flexibility to float across units, sharpening your ER skills.
What You'll Do8
- 1Assess pediatric patients by collecting vital signs, history, and symptoms to identify physiologic and psychosocial changes.
- 2Plan expected outcomes for each assigned patient, prioritizing interventions based on acuity and hospital policy.
- 3Deliver interventions such as medication administration, wound care, and patient education, adapting to the child’s developmental stage.
- 4Monitor patient safety and equipment, ensuring a therapeutic and hazard-free environment in the ED.
- 5Document nursing diagnoses and care in real time, meeting EMR compliance and hospital standards.
- 6Communicate patient updates to families, physicians, and the care team with clarity and sensitivity.
- 7Float to other units as requested, applying your pediatric skills to stabilize and support patients.
- 8Coordinate care across shifts, handing off precisely to ensure continuity for PALS-managed cases.
Requirements6
- 11+ year of maternal child health acute clinical experience or Pediatric RN experience within the last 3 years.
- 2Current RN license in the state of practice.
- 3Current BLS card.
- 4Current PALS certification if applicable.
- 5Current health certificate and PPD or chest X-ray.
- 6Full command of written and verbal English.
