Overview
Strategic Buyer leading PCB material sourcing in Detroit area. This role owns procurement activities for a stable electronics manufacturer. Responsibilities include managing supplier relationships negotiating contracts and driving continuous improvement. The position offers visibility into supplier strategy and shaping future sourcing initiatives.
What You'll Do7
- 1Manage sourcing and purchasing activities for PCB manufacturing materials
- 2Build and strengthen relationships with key suppliers
- 3Negotiate costs lead times and supply agreements
- 4Identify and develop new vendor partnerships
- 5Work closely with operations engineering and production teams
- 6Drive supplier performance cost savings and supply continuity
- 7Provide guidance and support to a junior buyer
Requirements7
- 15+ years purchasing experience within PCB or electronics manufacturing industry
- 2Strong supplier development and vendor negotiation experience
- 3Knowledge of PCB materials manufacturing processes and supply chains
- 4Background working with established suppliers and developing new sources
- 5Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus
- 6Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier background valued
- 7Bachelor's degree preferred
