Buyer Position in Semiconductor Manufacturing
Overview
The Buyer will own procurement of materials and services to support manufacturing operations. This role drives inventory management and supplier partnerships within a growing semiconductor environment. Success requires scaling purchasing processes and delivering timely material flow.
What You'll Do10
- 1Purchase materials components and services to support operational and production needs
- 2Maintain inventory levels based on forecasts production schedules and customer demand
- 3Obtain quotes conduct competitive bids and negotiate pricing with suppliers
- 4Create and manage purchase orders within the Epicor ERP system
- 5Communicate with suppliers regarding orders deliveries and issue resolution
- 6Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and supply reliability
- 7Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to qualify new suppliers and products
- 8Monitor market trends and support procurement best practices
- 9Assist with import export activities and supplier quality concerns
- 10Resolve invoice discrepancies and support the purchasing process from requisition through fulfillment
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s degree preferred or associate degree and equivalent experience
- 22–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings
- 3Experience with ERP/MRP systems especially Epicor
- 4Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel
- 5Ability to read bills of materials specifications and engineering drawings
- 6Semiconductor electronics or high-tech manufacturing experience is a plus
- 7Familiarity with import export processes and supplier quality procedures
- 8Demonstrated ability to identify cost reduction opportunities and negotiate effectively

$69 - $75k per year
