Buyer manages requisitions and tooling orders while supporting the P2P process. This role owns the procurement workflow for a specific category and region. Responsibilities include processing purchases, coordinating with suppliers, and leading independent buying tasks. It also involves strategic purchasing and compliance monitoring across multiple domains.
What You'll Do9
- 1Reviews and processes incoming requisitions and purchase orders while initiating tool orders and payments
- 2Coordinates with suppliers to resolve routine issues like past-due POs and freight discrepancies
- 3Leads administrative buying tasks and supports strategic purchasing initiatives
- 4Monitors contract compliance for pricing delivery and KPIs
- 5Executes contract and PO lifecycle management including reporting for aging POs
- 6Performs compliance monitoring aligned with business unit and corporate policies
- 7Supports solicitation of quotes and evaluation of bids for items above threshold
- 8Handles inventory replenishment and update of purchase orders with design changes
- 9Leads more administrative buys independently as assigned
Requirements5
- 1Completed bachelor’s degree in engineering supply chain business or related field
- 22+ years’ experience in purchasing technical forging and machining components
- 3Experience reviewing and processing requisitions and purchase orders
- 4Ability to resolve routine supplier issues and freight discrepancies
- 5Understanding of Production Part Approval Process in manufacturing environments
